Summer festival wedding in Northampton

Last weekend we travelled a little further afield to shoot Simon and Kat’s wedding in Northampton, and what a fun wedding it was! After the ceremony in their local church we jumped in a classic VW camper van and headed out to do some beautiful shots of the newly married couple near Kat's family home, which was where the reception was being held.  As the guests arrived they were greeted by a huge tipi in the garden! So much had been done to create such a fun atmosphere and the best way to describe is would probably be a 'festival' themed reception. We all know that to have a great festival you need to have great people, luckily the guests were certainly up for a party!! We also got the classic festival weather... all seasons in one day, you needed wellies at the church and sunglasses at the reception! 

One of our favourite bits though was the campfire inside the tipi, complete with marshmallows to toast... if only we could have indulged a bit more! In the evening they feasted on antipasti, pizza and cupcakes before some brilliant entertainment from Festival Sons who did a fantastic Tom Odell cover for their first dance.  As it started to get a bit chilly outside people either gravitated to the fire or wrapped themselves in the cosy blankets.
