If you could get married anywhere!

Woke up to a potentially quite exciting bit of news today (amazing I actually got to watch it in between consecutive episodes of Peppa Pig!!) The government are looking into lifting the rules on where people can get married! Currently you have to be married in a licenced venue and if it’s outside there also needs to be a permanent “roof” structure.

Don’t get me wrong, we have LOVED all the stunning venues we’ve worked at, but equally this could mean some great opportunities to shoot weddings in personal/fun/interesting/ <insert adjective> locations!

Dan and I got married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Cornwall. Whilst it did have it’s restrictions (we had to stand in a particular spot and we totally lucked out because if there was even the slightest chance of rain it would have had to have been inside!) we wouldn’t change it for a minute. BUT! This has got us looking back to just over 6 years ago… if we were to do it all over again, in any location, where would we choose? Maybe a beach or family home? Come to think about it, we wouldn’t really change a thing, but it’s interesting news all the same.

Where would YOU get married if you could do it anywhere? We’d love to hear from you.

Here’s a fave pic from our wedding 6 years ago! Look at those clouds looming... eek! Special thanks to Artis Studios for our photos and Pencarrow for letting us use their gardens :-D

(Oh, and here’s the news article!
